No license required to use the boats. The boats are electric and have 2 batteries for extended use. Each boat holds up to 4 people and includes all safety equipment. Operating hours 6 AM - 8 PM

The reservoir is a 620 square acre impoundment with over 10 miles of shoreline. It was impounded in 1952, and is home to a variety of fish including, large and small mouth bass, white crappie, yellow and white perch, walleye, northern pike, catfish and many varieties of the sunfish.  
The Octoraro Reservoir and surrounding properties are owned by the Chester Water Authority.  The purpose of the reservoir is public water supply.  Keeping that in mind, we ask that you respect our rules and do your part to maintain the quality and beauty of the Octoraro Reservoir.

All boats must be launched 
from the ramp at the Fishing Headquarters, located on Spruce Grove Rd.,
Bait, tackle, snacks, PFD's, licenses, boat rentals and launch permits as well as a list of rules and safety regulations are available for you at the Bait Shop,  Fishing Headquarters.
